Domestic employees to be confirmed every 6 months
The access procedures for domestic workers and gardeners have been updated, and these employees now have to be confirmed every 6 months. This will be a painless process – just respond to the email from the office asking you to confirm that the employees are still in your employ.
The change in procedure is required due to the large number of residents who do not advise the office when their domestic employees are no longer in their employ. An employee with finger print access whose access is not cancelled when they leave your employment, can enter the estate and this obviously poses a security risk.
Please read the following procedure (less than 2 pages) and advise the office of any changes in arrangements around your domestic employees. Domestic workers are specifically targeted by criminals to provide information, therefore it is really important that you keep the office informed of changes. Alarm monitoring and response by Xone
Due to ongoing requests from residents, we have made arrangements with Xone to monitor and respond to residents’ home alarms. If you are interested in changing your alarm monitoring to Xone, please contact our security manager, Jacques Lotz on email [email protected] or call the control room on 021-9135395 for Jacques to contact you. Monitoring will be done at Xone’s centralised control room and the response will be from within Welgedacht.
A Xone representative will review your alarm equipment and provide a quote for the service.
Employee of the month and July 2018 report
Congratulations to Anerie Smith, the Xone July 2018 employee of the month. She relocated from Ceres for the Xone job at Welgedacht Estate. Anerie is trustworthy, reliable and has a good attendance record. She is also friendly and helpful with the residents and other staff.
The 9 complaints received for July 2018 consisted of 5 complaints for barking dogs and 4 for loud music. The total for complaints and incidents were below the year to date average of 21.
